Enamel sign and Toy auctions: Wednesday prior 4pm – 8pm, Thursday 8.30am – 8pm, Friday 10am – 5pm and morning of second sale day from 8.30am

Registration and Bidding:

Customers wishing to attend an auction will be asked to complete a one off registration. We will simply require your name and contact details and one photographic form of identification. In exchange we will give you a paddle. Please raise your paddle  so the auctioneer can clearly see your bid.

Unable to attend?

Customers unable to attend the auction may leave an absentee bid with the auctioneer, also known as a commission bid. We are happy to undertake to bid on your behalf and purchase the lot as cheaply as possible. Alternatively, if the auction estimate is above £100, we are able to arrange a telephone bid for you. Telephone bidding works in a similar way to absentee bidding, a member of our team will telephone you just before your chosen lot comes under the hammer. You will then be able to bid live over the telephone, with the member of staff conveying your bid to the auctioneer.

Absentee and telephone bids are offered as a free service. Absentee and telephone bids can be arranged by contacting us. Live bidding is currently available for our enamel signs, advertising and collectors sales, details within the specific catalogues.

Postage and Packaging:

We are unable to offer a postage or packaging service, our customers regularly instruct Mailboxes Etc Chippenham 01249 446141 info@mbechippenham.co.uk they are happy to quote prior to bidding.

If you are attending the sale we accept cash or debit card, although we do not take American Express.

Due to a recent rise in card fraud, we are no longer able to accept payments by credit or debit cards for ‘customer not present’ transactions over the phone. Card payments are still accepted at our saleroom, but must be supported by ‘chip and pin’, under no circumstances will this method be bypassed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
